The Maju Expressway Extension MEX 2 comprises a 16km long highway from Putrajaya to KLIA Expressway. This stretch was part of the iginal Concession Agreement that was deferred due to the Financial Crisis of 1998. It was designed to provide the shtest route to both the Kuala Lumpur city center the Putrajaya region with a direct connection to Kuala Lumpur International Airpt (KLIA) KLIA2. The route begins at the Putrajaya Interchange merges onto the FT26 (existing Lebuhraya KLIA) in Sepang.
